Azelaic Acid

Azelaic Acid has demonstrated therapeutic effects in the treatment of acne and several disorders of hyperpigmentation and melasma. Known benefits are: anti-inflammatory, anti-keratinising and antibacterial results that helps prevent clogged pores.

Azelaic Acid also offsets inflammation associated with acne by reducing P. acnes bacteria and clearing pores - a good alternative to Benzyl Peroxide. Think of it as a very gentle 'leave-on' exfoliator. Works well alongside ingredient, Salicylic Acid.

It can also be used as a hypo pigmentation agent in those sensitive to hydroquinone.

Good results shown with people with acne rosacea.

Can be used in pregnancy or when breastfeeding.
